Superlungs is a real band. No polish, no manufacture, no bullshit. Just three young guys who got together to make
music... Sometimes things just work, this is one of them.
The strange Singer/Guitarist, the level headed Bassist and the high energy Drummer... mental. The balance has been achieved by fate itself. Not through a series of TV auditions.
Now you can follow the beginnings of a 'real, live' band. From here you can enter the real world of raw, valve driven honest sounds and real songs...Welcome to our world.
After winning a School Battle of the Bands, recording an EP in a Brighton studio, signing a record deal to become the youngest signed rock band in Europe, Superlungs have had an incredible journey so far; and the best is yet to come.
'Discovered' while playing in a village hall in Sussex, Superlungs managed to impress Ross McCracken and David Garland at Yellow Fish Music, and this led to an instant recording contract. Suddenly, with an average age at the time of "13" they found themselves making their debut album in the world class Yellow Fish Studios.
Over the next two years the band worked hard, writing, recording and gigging across the South of England. With their album recorded and an EP set for release, their journey really began.
Recently, the band has been attracting the attention of the music industry in both Europe and the US. With a documentary in the making, photo shoots in Portugal, a video being planned and a live DVD just recorded, the future is looking bright.
The band have also just recorded 4 tracks for a solo album by renowned composer and producer David Courtney who has written songs for Leo Sayer, Roger Daltrey and Paul McCartney among countless others. To quote David, 'This band is so good I just had to have them on my Album!'
Superlungs has also recently signed a world wide publishing deal with Open Times Music headed by Pete McGlinchey who has represented the catalogues of The Beatles, Oasis, Elton John, Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, Pearl Jam, Travis and many more. 'We are really pleased to be working with Superlungs and Open Times is very excited and looking forward to a bright future working with the band' - Pete McGlinchey.
The amazing journey continues!
